The Family Care Ministry came into being with the goal of serving and ministering to fellow church families who find themselves or their loved ones in a challenging time in their lives. We who serve in the ministry feel called by our Lord to come along side and support fellow church family members in several practical ways. We have a team in place that would love to -- not just are willing to -- but would love to provide you you with meals, do some light house work, or drive you to doctors' appointments or the grocery store.
Accepting blessings of this sort can be difficult, as I learned through my own season of illness over the last year and a half. However, once a physical blessing is accepted, that blessing goes beyond the obvious to the spiritual as well. Sadly, in our very blessed American culture we have learned that being in need is a weakness, that accepting help indicates a failure on our part. The Bible, our life guide book from our Lord, tells us this is not true. We are told that it is a blessing to share our burdens, and it is a blessing to those who have been given the gift of compassion and care, to be able to use those God-given gifts when called to. When we refuse to ask for assistance, we are preventing those God has called to give a blessing from giving the blessing! In other words, it's an opportunity for growth and blessing on both ends, the recipients and the givers, so don't wait, contact us today if we can serve you!
In His love and service,
